A Taste of Polish Tradition in the Heart of Sopot

In our kitchen, you’ll find, among other things, fish and caviar from the Zielenica Fish Farm, cheeses from Kaszubska Koza, as well as regional honeys, liqueurs, wines, and Kashubian ratafia.
Seasonality and product quality are just as important to us as the recipe itself. We believe that a good ingredient doesn’t need many additions - it’s enough to let its flavor shine through.

That’s why the Polish tradition of feasting is so close to our hearts - dishes placed in the center of the table, discovering flavors together, and taking our time to savor the meal.
We combine this tradition with a contemporary approach to cuisine, seasonal ingredients, and our Head Chef’s original creations.

For 19 years, he worked in 5-star hotels, gaining experience that he now puts to use in the kitchen at Polskie Smaki.

His approach is simple: respect for tradition doesn’t mean you have to be afraid of change. Marek draws on well-known Polish and regional flavors and then reinterprets them, creating dishes that blend a deep understanding of tradition with a modern twist.

For us, Slow Food is first and foremost about respect for ingredients, seasonality, and culinary heritage. It is also a philosophy of celebrating food - without rushing, around a shared table, and in good company. These are values that have been close to Polskie Smaki’s heart from the very beginning.
